A Cascata do Arado é uma queda de água localizada no rio Arado, a cerca de 3km da aldeia da Ermida e a cerca de 8km da Vila do Gerês, em pleno coração do Gerês. Situada a uma altitude de cerca de 900 metros, cria uma sucessão de cascatas únicas por entre as rochas.

Cascata do Arado is situated in Peneda-Geres NP. It is nice place: river, small bridge, few steps to the view point of the waterfall. I would say that the only disadvantage is the easy accessibility. There leads a wide sandy road from the main road to the very point next to the bridge and then only few steps are sufficient to get to the river.

It's about a 10-minute drive to Cascata do Arado (Arado waterfalls) from the New Beautiful Stone viewpoint. You first come to the parking area for the Rocas viewpoint. You can park here and walk down the dirt road to the trailhead for Cascata do Arado, or you can do what we did and continue driving after the pavement turns into a dirt road.
